Maltball Explosion Cake {or Cupcakes}

Do you remember the Malteasers of your youth with fondness and longing? Then my signature cake is the cake for you! This cake taste amazingly like Malteasers or Whoppers candies. A rich, chocolate malt base is topped with real malted milk buttercream icing, with crushed malt balls on top for decoration.

If you’ve tried the Maltball Explosion Cake, I’d love to hear from you!  Please leave your comments in the space below, and thank you for your feedback!

    I was excited to find out that I had won a cake from a fundraising bake sale. It was Tanya’s malt ball explosion cake and it looked fabulous. My family and I shared it with our neighbours that night and everybody loved it. Fortunately the cake was big enough for everyone to have a second piece. The crushed malt balls melted in your mouth and were a perfect compliment to the chocolate cake that was moist with just the right amount of sweetness. I think this cake would be a great choice for any celebration or coffee get together.

    I brought home a “Malt Ball Explosion” cake as a treat for my family. It was an absolute hit with everyone (not just the kids). The quality and care put into making the cake was evident with every bite. Two words sum it up: decadent and delicious!
